Today I have a guest post over at Houston-Neighborhoods.com. It is all about the Houston suburb that I reside in-League City, Texas. Please check it out here!
I love being introduced to brands that I have not before tried. In this case, LuLaRoe was a company that I heard of but knew very little about. Recently my friend Tara joined the LuLaRoe movement and became one of their fashion retailers. She invited me to try out the products and do a review for the Channelling Dolly readers. Here are my two cents (hint..you can consider me a new fan LuLaRoe):
My very first impression was how soft the fabric was. The LuLaRoe tagline is “Where fashion meets comfort” and I truly found that to be true. I was really impressed with the quality. I could see their pieces being perfect for travel because after wearing the top above all day there was no wrinkling whatsoever.
My name is Heather and I am a sucker for a cute retro print. I love that the style and color of this top would have fit as perfectly in the 70’s as it does now. One cool thing about LuLaRoe is that each print is produced in runs as limited as 2,500 pieces which will make it unhighly likely that many will have the exact same item as you have. LuLaRoe can not be purchased at a department store or boutique and are sold solely by their independent consultants, like brands such as Mary Kay. Continue reading Consider Me a New Fan…LuLaRoe
It is believed that spirit animals give us wisdom and power. While many of the quizzes I have done to determine my personal spirit animal points to it being a goat, I prefer the option of my idol being mine. Laura Owen Designs said it perfectly with this t-shirt pictured below. That is right…Dolly Parton is my spirit animal! Who else has given us wisdom such as” I’m not offended by all the dumb blonde jokes because I know I’m not dumb… and I also know that I’m not blonde.” Or given us the power to see how one person can change so many lives as she did during the recent fires in her Tennessee mountain homeland.
All the Details:
This Dolly Parton Graphic T-shirt is available through Laura Owen Designs via Etsy. It is available to ship within the United States and comes in sizes Small through X-Large. The text is screen printed onto a high-quality t-shirt. For more info please check out her site!
This week on Channelling Dolly I am introducing a new post category called “Let Me Introduce You To..”. This new spot on the blog will be your snapshot into the city of Houston. There are so many amazing places in the city that it is a shame many only know about us by the phrase “Houston we have a problem”! Well I am here to show you that this city is thriving! We have world class shopping and theatrical events. Our food is so good that you almost won’t mind going home with a few extra pounds, (pack your stretchy pants). And we have art! Art galleries, festivals and local artists filling up our spaces with bold color! First up let me introduce you to our Houston Murals!
The Station Theater is the home to several murals including the David Bowie and Gene Wilder memorials. This is a must see when mural hunting for fans of these legends.
Looking for your 90’s cartoon fix? This alley by Merchant and Market on Westheimer will provide you just that and a great photo op! Continue reading Houston Murals
