The amazing thing about the fourth largest city in the United States, Houston, Texas, is that there is always a hidden gem that is yet to be discovered. One such gem that I had the chance to recently visit is Smither Park. After seeing this spot time and time again on Instagram I knew I had to see it in person. Pictures do not do it justice!
This week on Channelling Dolly I am introducing a new post category called “Let Me Introduce You To..”. This new spot on the blog will be your snapshot into the city of Houston. There are so many amazing places in the city that it is a shame many only know about us by the phrase “Houston we have a problem”! Well I am here to show you that this city is thriving! We have world class shopping and theatrical events. Our food is so good that you almost won’t mind going home with a few extra pounds, (pack your stretchy pants). And we have art! Art galleries, festivals and local artists filling up our spaces with bold color! First up let me introduce you to our Houston Murals!
The Station Theater is the home to several murals including the David Bowie and Gene Wilder memorials. This is a must see when mural hunting for fans of these legends.
