This One is For the Fur Babies

Those of you who follow Channelling Dolly, especially on Instagram, know my obsession with my little man Barkley.  I find no greater joy than that of spoiling the boy with toys, vacations, and products for dogs. Recently I had the opportunity to team up with Pet Magasin to learn about their heated dog beds! This one is for all the fur babies out there!

Not only does Barkley have diabetes, but he is also 13 years old. While he still gets around like a young pup at times his little joints hurt him. He loves warm blankets and I know that must help to ease his joint pain a bit. I have been looking for something to provide warmth for him that was safe for dogs. Thankfully that wish has been granted with the help of Pet Magasin!

This One is For the Fur Babies Pet Magasin is a small company that specializes in quality and affordable pet products. They pride themselves with creating safe products for pets as well as their owners.

The Pet Magasin Self-Heated Dog Bed package comes with two mats. They use a layer or mylar,  the same super-insulating material used in spacesuits, to create the self-heating technology that will keep your fur baby cozy!  This technology helps to absorb, hold and reflect your pet’s own body heat and keep them warm.  The underside of the bed is rubberized so that it will stay exactly where you place it and will not be a slipping hazard for you or your pet. The bed is not only warm and made to stay put, but it is very comfy. At first glance, it seems thin, but the velvety cover and padded foam provide a good level of softness.

Barkley often sits with me while writing blog posts, but I think he quite enjoyed getting to play a bigger role in this one. Especially when it meant getting a new spot to nap! This One is For the Fur Babies The product’s size is perfect for Barkley who weighs in at 14 pounds but would also work for a larger dog as well. The bed is also handy because you can easily move it when your pet wants to rest in another room. The Pet Magasin heated dog bed will surely be taking road trips with us soon so Barkley will have all the comforts of home in hotel rooms as well! This One is For the Fur Babies

  1. Barkley is so cute!!! We don’t have a dog anymore (ours passed away last summer…sniff), but we spoiled the crap out of him when he was still here.

  2. As a pet parent we want to make sure that our pets have everything that they need. I think it’s awesome that you found a bed that allows your Barkley to experience comfort especially at his age. This sounds like a great bed!

  3. What an awesome dog bed. We have cats who like warm beds too and I think this might help them a lot. I like that you can easily move it from one place to another.

  4. Your dog looks very comfortable on the dog bed. I’ve never heard of a self heated bed for your dog sounds interesting .

  5. Your dog is so cute! I’ve been thinking about getting a dog, but it’s hard to figure out which type of breed would be best for our family.

  6. We don’t have a pet but some of our friends are owners and it’s a good thing if they’ll have this!

  7. That is so cool, especially for older dogs or dogs with joint pain. My fur baby is a tripod so she has some joint issues, and I think something like this would be wonderful for her!

  8. What an awesome bed for the dogs! I know a lot of people who’s pets sleep on their heating vents in the winter, this would be much comfier for them!

  9. My dogs love it warm where they lay. This would be perfect for them. I have one chihuahua that loves to root under the covers to get warm. He would really enjoy this.

  10. This is the cutest thing ever! I didn’t realize that dogs could get diabetes. We just brought home a great pyrenees puppy a few months ago, she is a handful, but so fun!

    1. Heather thank you!! I didn’t realize dogs could get diabetes either until Barkley was diagnosed. He has to have insulin twice a day and it breaks my heart but he is a trooper! I hope you have many years of health and happiness with your new fur baby!

  11. Oh my gosh; how adorable is Barkley! I had no idea they made heated dog beds, but Ii love the idea of them. Our girl Bailey would love one for the freezing European winters. Definitely going to look into these!

  12. Awww he’s a cutie! How thick is the bed? I have a dog that hates anything too thick. Trust me I’ve wasted $$ on plushy dog beds for him to never use them. Instead he prefers old blankets *sigh*

  13. This looks great for those spoiled pups. Our Siberian Husky is always looking for a cool place to sleep and currently enjoys our kitchen tile.

  14. Your dog is adorable! My dog would probably love something like the Pet Magasin Self-Heated Dog Bed, especially during the cooler months.

    1. Thank you!! Congrats on your upcoming new fur baby! They are so much fun and really fill a home with love!

  15. I will definitely have to check Pet Magasin out! Our dog is starting to get up in age and has problems with her joints as well. A heated pet bed would be nice.

    1. Cassie I bet your dog will love it too! Barkley has been spending much of his nap time on his ever since we got it!

  16. Your doggy is such a cutie! This looks like such a great bed for dogs, and I definitely will have to consider it for my pups.

    Much love,

    1. Thank you Rachel. I didn’t know dogs could get diabetes either until he was diagnosed. It broke my heart and still does, but he is such a little trooper. As long as we keep him on a strict diet and give him insulin he handles it really well! Thank God! Can’t have my fur baby sick!
