Let Me Introduce You to The Orange Show

Let Me Introduce You to The Orange Show

Have you ever walked into a place and exclaimed,”This is the best thing I have ever seen”? That was me when I finally had the chance to visit The Orange Show in Houston. Located on what is quickly becoming my favorite street in town, Munger Street, this artistic creation is a few feet from Smither Park

The Orange Show was created by Jeff McKissack. A local mail carrier, Mr. McKissack collected used objects and from 1956-1980 used those to build this colorful corner of the world. He was the sole artist, building and tiling the entire space. Upon his death, his ashes were scattered on the property. If I were him I wouldn’t have wanted to leave either!

I could go on for days about how much I loved this place. However, in a case such as this it is best you see visuals! Behold The Orange Show.
